Hey Engulfians, Roadkill here, your new Terraforming Lead for the 2025 burn! We wanted to make two separate days for terraforming so we would get enough time to prepare their space.
What is Terraforming?
It's our community effort to prepare the grounds. We'll be clearing brush, pruning dead limbs, and removing roots to create a smooth and safe environment for our theme camps, art, and fellow participants (especially the barefoot ones!).
The Schedule:
Location: 75477 Gregot Rd, Kentwood, LA, 70444
For those coming from New Orleans,
the land is a 1 hour and 45 minute drive.
9:30 AM: Show up to check in and mingle before we start working.
10:00 AM: Work begins! (I'll go over the plan again). We will be working on COMMUNITY SPACES FIRST (effigy field, HQ, etc.) from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM.
12:00 PM: Lunch! Water and lunch will be provided by our lovely Sanctuary Lead, Serra Wobbles! Give her some love when you see her!
After Lunch: We will finish up community spaces and then AFTER that's completed you can begin working on your personal camp sites.
Tools Needed:
Engulf will provide volunteers with tools, but feel free to bring your own! Suggested items include gloves, rakes, ant/wasp killer, shears, axes, machetes, chainsaws, etc. Please be careful!
This is the perfect chance to meet new people, see old friends, and get to know the layout of the land before the gates open.
