Handmade with Pride

Kent Rainbow Weekend presents Handmade with Pride, an "around town" event where participants engage in rainbow-themed arts and crafts activities at each stop! Some activities will be hosted inside the businesses, while others will be "take and make" to be enjoyed at home. Ticketholders will check-in at the Kent State Hotel & Conference Center on Sat., Oct. 18, from 1-5pm to pick up a Handmade with Pride "pass" and special Rainbow Weekend giveaway items from Main Street Kent. Decorate your own rainbow cookie with the Kent State Hotel and partake in a creative activity with Hazelmade, then head out to 17 more locations offering activities throughout the day. Event ticket proceeds will benefit the LGBTQ+ Fund of the Portage Foundation. All ages welcome at this family-friendly event!

Participants: Bell Tower Brewing, Belleria, Bent Tree Coffee, Evelyn Dickerson Hair Design, Laziza, Tree City, Flourish Plant Mkt., Game Day Coffee & Ice Cream, Hazelmade, Kent Free Library, Kent State Hotel, Leaf & McKay Bricker, Off the Wagon, Salon NeXt, Scribbles, Standing Rock Cultural Arts, Sun in Leo, and more to come!
