Candlemas

Candlemas, or Candlemas Day, is also known as 'The Feast of the Presentation of Our Lord Jesus' and 'The Feast of the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary.' The name Candlemas means festival or 'mass' of the candles, and comes from the tradition of blessing all the candles used in the church for the upcoming year.

You are invited to bring candles that you intend to use for prayer in the coming year with you! The candles will be blessed during Mass.
