You’re invited to Jammin’ for Jayce, a benefit concert in support of Jayce Bruyere. It will be held at First Baptist Church, 510 Second Street South, Kenora, on Saturday, February 7 at 3 pm. Admission is by donation (cash or cheque only at door).

When Jayce was 5-1/2 months old, he was diagnosed with a rare childhood brain cancer. He had surgery in Winnipeg and stayed in Health Sciences Centre for many months undergoing chemo therapy. His parents stayed at Ronald McDonald House and his two older siblings were cared for in Kenora by their grandma and great grandparents.
When he was 2-1/2 he had another surgery to repair the damage to his skull left by the tumor, It was not successful. However, in the meantime, Jayce has been cancer-free and is a bright, energetic child who loves to play soccer.
On January 14, 2026, he underwent another surgery to try to fix the damage once again. He will be in the hospital in Winnipeg for up to 3 months. His mom is taking time from work to be with him and is once again staying at Ronald McDonald House. His dad and three siblings will visit on the weekends. He will turn 9 at the end of this month.
At this time, financial support will greatly assist the family as Jayce continues on his journey of healing.
