The Louis T. Graves Memorial Public Library in Kennebunkport is pleased to once again partner with Vinegar Hill for this special evening with Adam Higginbotham, author of Challenger: A True Story of Heroism & Disaster on the Edge of Space.
Higginbotham will be joined in conversation by Pat Callaghan, longtime WCSH-TV news anchor and journalist who covered the Challenger disaster live in 1986. Together, they’ll explore the human stories, technical challenges, and lasting impact of one of NASA’s most defining moments.
From the New York Times bestselling author of Midnight in Chernobyl comes a riveting, minute-by-minute account of the Challenger tragedy—an extraordinary blend of human drama and science that reads like a thriller.
Guests are invited to enjoy food and drinks in Vinegar Hill’s outdoor garden prior to the event. Book sales and a cash bar begin at 5:30 PM, followed by the author conversation at 6:30 PM.
All proceeds from this event benefit the Louis T. Graves Memorial Public Library.
