Join us to learn about a project that aims to save the endangered Australian Lungfish, enhance the health of the Brisbane River and improve the quality of the city's drinking water... all by planting macrophytes!
Dr. David T. Roberts from SEQWater will present on a project to replant macrophytes (submerged aquatic plants) in eth Brisabne River between Wivenhoe Dam and the Mount Crosby Water Treatment Plant. The project aims to restore essential lungfish breeding habitat for damaged by major flood events, and builds on recent research and a successful citizen science trial led by Dr Roberts and volunteers from the Australia, New Guinea Fishes Association (ANGFA).
