Andre The Hilarious Hypnotist

Andre, the hilarious hypnotist, is as iconic to South Africa as melktert and boerewors. He started his career as a stage hypnotist in the 1990s. Andre’s four-week stay at the Victory Theatre in Johannesburg turned into an eleven-week sold-out season, giving birth to the Hilarious Hypnosis show.



Andre’s initial venture into the theatre world began when he was still in school , attending drama lessons, performing in various school plays, and even doing a bit of TV work. However, this all changed when he met his mentor, the late Max Collie, in 1988. It was at one of Max Collie’s shows that Andre’s future became his reality.
A combination of psychology, drama, and comedic dry humour glues the show together, and joined by an ever-changing cast of volunteers, Andre promises to deliver an evening of entertainment that will have you talking long after the final curtain closes.
