This will be a short and local overnight BACKPACK TRIP at the spectacular Grandview Campsite @ km 15 along the High Rim Trail. Day hikers are welcome to join but you may have to hike in or out solo. If you would like to dayhike with us you NEED to PM so I can get you set up with navigation
We have 2 options for the hike in. If we park and start at the Goudie trailhead it's a 6km hike along the High Rim Trail. If we drive up a bit further there's some recently decommissioned backroads that's only 4km to the campsite.
I'll post pins to both locations in discussion for easy copy and paste.
We will arrive with plenty of time to set up camp and collect wood before it gets dark.
People tend to bring alot of alcohol on these shorter trips, but I'm really not a fan of the chaos it creates. I strive for a relaxed and welcoming environment, but alcohol tends to pull away from that after a certain point. If you bring alcohol please don't get drunk or obnoxious, and keep it to yourself. This goes for LSD and stuff aswell. 420 friendly. Know your limits and stay within it.
It will be cold, proper clothing is essential. PM me if you need some guidance with this.
