Active ageing through gardening means changing how we garden so we can continue to enjoy all the health and environmental benefits of a garden as we age.
Why is that when we finally have time to work on our gardens, our bodies tell us to slow down and the physical aspects of gardening become more difficult? Changing a gardens’ design and some of our gardening practices means we can continue to enjoy all the physical, emotional and spiritual benefits from gardening to stay active as we age.
Presented by Sustainable Gardening Australia, learn tips for garden design, container gardening, choosing lower-maintenance plants and gardening safely. You will also be able to see and handle ergonomic tools that can make gardening easier.
Light refreshments will be avalible 30 minutes before workshop begins.
If you have accessibility questions or requirements, please contact us at Brimbank Libraries.
