Forest to Table: Foraging & Preparing Wild Edibles

Forest to Table: Foraging and Preparing Wild Edibles takes students into the woods then back into the kitchen, identifying and preparing the remarkable diversity of edible, medicinal and otherwise useful plants in our region. Students will begin with a walk learning to spot a variety of edible and medicinal plants as well as the fundamentals of how to identify unknown plants on their own. Then, it’s back to the Homestead to learn the art of a little Kitchen Witchery with Nicole, preparing and preserve wild edibles to incorporate them into meals.
