On the occasion of International Students’ Day, celebrated in November, we invite you to explore Hinduism, focusing on the Gaudiya-Vaishnava tradition, which has an active branch in Lithuania.
Religious leaders will share insights on one of Hinduism’s core principles: love—how to love your neighbor—while emphasizing devotion (bhakti) to Krishna as the Supreme God.
The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) promotes spiritual knowledge through temple worship, chanting, festivals, vegetarian prasadam, and educational programs, fostering moral, cultural, and spiritual development worldwide.
Our university is home to students and teachers from diverse religious and cultural backgrounds, making this event a unique opportunity to explore other religions and broaden your understanding of different faith traditions.
Community Hosts:
Drhuvananda das (Dainius Vaičiūnas) - Head of the Kaunas Krishna Consciousness Community, Head of the ISKCON National Council of Lithuania;
Ishamati Devi dasi (Inga Saburkinė) - assoc. prof. dr
We invite you to come dressed in traditional Indian attire, such as saris or kurtas, if you wish!
During the event, participants will also have the opportunity to taste traditional foods of this faith.
