Am frühen Sonntagabend bei uns: THE AWAKENING ist eine Gothic-Rock-/Darkwave-Band aus Johannesburg, Südafrika, und endlich kommen sie ins KOHI. Leadsänger ASHTON NYTE trat 2024 solo im KOHI auf und freut sich, mit der kompletten Band zurück zu sein - und wir auch!

The Awakening veröffentlichten kürzlich ihr selbstbetiteltes 12. Album, das auf Platz 3 der deutschen Alternative Charts landete. Die drei Videosingles wurden millionenfach angesehen, das Album erhielt sehr positive Kritiken und wurde in Sonic Seducer (Deutschland), Orkus (Deutschland), Post-Punk (USA), American Songwriter (USA) und vielen anderen vorgestellt. Demnächst starten sie eine Headliner-Tour durch Deutschland, Frankreich, Großbritannien, Mexiko und die USA. Die Band wird außerdem Co-Headliner des legendären Castle Party Festivals (Polen) und des Brainstorm Festivals (Niederlande) sein.
