Truth be Told: An Evening with Hank Willis Thomas

Renowned for his conceptual and multimedia work exploring themes of justice, civic engagement, pop culture, and collective memory, artist Hank Willis Thomas challenges us to examine our assumptions and biases. Join the Nelson-Atkins in celebrating the museum's newest acquisition by Thomas, a work acquired by community leaders for the community.

Following his presentation, Senior Curator of Global Modern/Contemporary & American Art Stephanie Fox Knappe joins the artist in conversation to explore the truths and tensions in our hidden histories.
