Adib Khorram is an award winning author who lives in Kansas City, Missouri (he is also a Tannin Wine Club Member). His first novel, Darius The Great is Not Okay, won the William C. Morris Debut Award, the Asian/Pacific American Award for Young Adult Literature and a Boston Globe-Horn Book Honor. His follow up novel to I’ll Have What He’s Having, which is set at a wine bar in Kansas City, on Walnut Street, near the Kauffman Center light rail stop is It Had to Be Him. It Had to Be Him shifts the setting for second-chance romance from Kansas City to Italy, the inspiration for both the book and this dinner!
Chef Brian Aaron and the team will prepare a 5 course meal inspired by dishes from the novel and Tannin will pair each course with a wine featured in the novel (or a suitable alternative). Each attendee will also receive a signed copy of It Had to Be Him.
Why not hang out with the writer at one of his favorite wine bars while enjoying the same food and wine that Adib Khorram describes in his newest novel?
