The "End of Life Inequity and Cultural Perspectives" program explores the financial, emotional, and cultural challenges faced during end-of-life experiences. Highlights include the Funeral Consumers Alliance of Greater Kansas City and their updated funeral price survey, which reveals significant cost disparities and promotes transparency for consumers. The program also features Amiyah's Angels, a compassionate nonprofit offering financial and emotional support to grieving parents navigating the loss of a child. Additionally, a session on Digital Remains examines how our online lives persist after death, raising important ethical and legal questions. Together, these topics shed light on the urgent need for equity, support, and awareness in end-of-life care.
