Please join us on Saturday, September 27, at 11:00 for our annual Elmwood Cemetery Society celebration. If you have been to any of our picnics in the past, you know what fun they are and how lovely the Cemetery looks as autumn sets in. And if you haven’t
attended before, this is your year to join us!
Here’s why:
*A special Gravestone Cleaning Class will be held from 9:00am – 11:00am ($10 fee - separate ticket)
*Live Music featuring Hot Club KC
*Storytime for Kids in our beautiful Armour Chapel
*Historic Cemetery Tours
*Arboretum Tour of our 100+ year-old Missouri Champion Trees
All this, in addition to a delicious Stroud’s Fried Chicken picnic.
This year, we are raising funds to repair and strengthen our wrought-iron fencing along Truman Road. We have identified a company to do this work, but we need donor support to make it happen. You can help by purchasing tickets to the picnic. Picnic tickets are just $75 each.
