Step back in time and into the holiday spirit during Reflections of
Kankakee County: Holiday Lights & History Bus Tour, happening Thursday, December 11 from
4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Participants will meet at the Kankakee County Museum, where they’ll
board the bus for a guided journey through local history illuminated by the magic of the season.
This festive event is a partnership between the B. Harley Bradley House, Bourbonnais Grove
Historical Society, Bourbonnais Township Park District, Kankakee County Museum and Historical
Society and Visit Kankakee County, inviting guests to experience the area’s architectural and
cultural treasures in a new light—literally!
The tour begins with a stop at Frank Lloyd Wright’s Historic B. Harley Bradley House, where
guests will enjoy a guided tour of this Prairie-style masterpiece dressed in its holiday finest. The
journey continues with a scenic ride through the Riverview Historic District, where many homes
are beautifully adorned with twinkling holiday displays. Next up is a stop at the historic George H.
Letourneau House, decked out in period-style holiday décor that captures the spirit of Christmas
past. The evening concludes back at the Kankakee County Museum, where participants can stroll
through the 47th Annual Gallery of Trees, sip hot cocoa, and enjoy holiday cookies while
surrounded by festive lights and community cheer.
“This is such a special way to experience Kankakee County—where our history, architecture, and
holiday traditions come together to create something truly memorable,” said event organizers.
Tickets are $25 per person and include transportation, guided tours, and refreshments. Space is limited, and advance registration is required before December 9, 2025.
