Meeting in Kanab again for another 510 Hikers adventure!!!
This is the 4th time here. Will be a blast. Potentially we can only take 10 people because we want to take a special trail at the Narrows. The Subway. It should be magical. But, only ten people can be on that permit.
But we will also apply for Angels Landing AND The Wave. So, a lot going on. Enough so that I am putting this up early.
The house we stay at, it’s huge. Plenty of space for everyone. Two huge kitchens. A movie room. A great backyard.
Hey will be having a ball as we have had every year out there.
The place has 9 bedrooms in it. Ten beds. One bedroom has two beds.
Honestly could fit more in if we wanted. At least a couple more. Will be connecting with Black Hikers United on Saturday for our hike so, be ready for hella fun being able to meet hikers from other parts of the county. We don’t want a circus with too many people so we will remind ourselves of that and keep the numbers reasonable.
We will be making a special shirt for the hike using the quality stuff we always use. Prolly can choose a v-neck if you would like.
Each bedroom is same as last year. $310 for 3 nights total. There is an additional $50 fee that covers the 510 group shirt for the trip and the organizing all yall. 😆
You can stay other places or hotels if you want. You still pay the $60 fee upfront to be included in our plans. We don’t do tag a long “see ya there” types.
Only other expense is, cars. we rent 3 cars from Vegas International where everyone meets Thursday. We leave Vegas no later than 2pm. Not 1:45pm, not 2:05pm. 2. Expecting to have one car leave by 11am ish, the other two by 2pm. If you book a flight and it gets canceled the day of and are more than 30 minutes late, we will have you rent a car and drive out there to the house solo, so plan to arrive early. Coming back, plan on getting back to Vegas airport/area around 3pm (though we could have one car leaving at 9am to get back by noon to the airport). So books flights home after 3:30pm OR do what a lot of us will do and just hang out in Vegas Sunday night and fly home Monday (Mandalay Bay on the strip is nice and cheap). Last year everyone ended up paying about $75 each for car and gas total which is NOTHING.
Trust me. We will work it out and have fun doing it. This is just being put up really early. Before Utah we have Yosemite and Denver on tap.

Anyone is welcome to cancel up to June 1st and not lose a dime. I’ll send you your money back. After that, if you cancel, you just donated to 510’Hikers to someone else coming. There is no advertising to the public to take your spot. We are not hiking with people we don’t have a general idea/vibe that they know the expectations.
The house is crazy big and nice. You can share a room but if you do, it’s $50 extra. Why? We aren’t sharing just the room, but, the entire house. More people in the house, we should all cover the expense.
Hikes, expect them to be reasonable challenge. Not the toughest hikes we have ever done.
