Rethinking Community: Diverse Community Voices is a two-day conference dedicated to exploring what it means to build inclusive, equitable, and culturally safe communities.
Held on the ancestral and unceded territory of Tk̓emlúps te Secwépemc within Secwépemcúl’ecw, this gathering invites community leaders, organizations, and changemakers to join two days of meaningful discussion that focus on equity, diversity, inclusion, cultural safety, and reconciliation.
The conference is designed collaboratively through both the Indigenous and settler lens, to meaningfully discuss what it means to be a welcoming and inclusive community, while amplifying diverse voices from across sectors. Delegates can expect bold and courageous conversations that ask what happens when we move beyond fear, share teachings, and commit as a collective to building more positive, inclusive, and just communities.
This conference is dedicated to advancing gender equity, anti-racism, accessibility, cultural safety, and reconciliation through shared learning and collective action.
Details including keynote speakers and breakout sessions can be found here.
