This beloved Canadian classic is back for its 50th anniversary at Western Canada Theatre – and guess what? Valerie Easton, who played Anne in WCT’s very first musical back in 1975, returns as choreographer for this milestone production!

Directed by Erin McGrath with music direction by Clare Wyatt, this heartwarming tale follows fiery Anne Shirley as she crashes into the quiet world of Green Gables – and turns Avonlea upside down.

At the turn of the 20th century on Prince Edward Island, siblings Matthew and Marilla are expecting a boy to help on their farm… but instead, they get Anne – a red-haired, quick-witted dreamer with a wild imagination and a will of her own. Her courage and curiosity bring new life to the town of Avonlea, breaking down walls and winning hearts.
