A Clockwork Orange — Thursday Film Series

TFS Masters in Science Fiction series moves into the stylized, dystopian future of Stanley Kubrick’s provocative classic, A Clockwork Orange 🥛

In a world of ultra-violence and state-controlled morality, charismatic delinquent Alex DeLarge spends his nights with his "droogs" indulging in mayhem. When he is eventually captured, he becomes the subject of the "Ludovico Technique" — an experimental psychological conditioning designed to "cure" him of his criminal impulses.


☝🤓 Fun Facts:
- The "Singin' in the Rain" sequence was completely improvised by Malcolm McDowell because it was the only song he knew all the lyrics to 🎤

- Director Stanley Kubrick himself withdrew the film from UK distribution in 1973, and it wasn't officially available there again until after his death in 1999 🚫
