There will be a different topic discussed and explored on the first Wednesday evening of each month.
What To Expect:
September Topic - ‘The 12 Somatic Knots of Trauma’
Your body remembers more than you can recall. Long after a painful event has faded from conscious memory, its imprint can remain woven into muscle fibres, fascia, breath patterns and posture. These imprints are what are known as somatic knots, areas of chronic contraction in the body where unresolved physical, emotional or energetic tension is stored.
Somatic knots are not random and are found at certain spots in the body. They follow a map, a sequence of points from the sacrum at the base of your spine all the way up to your jaw.
At this gathering you will learn about the 12 Somatic Knots of Trauma, what they are, why they occur, where they are located and how to unlock them.
Part of this session comprises a practical component.
Please bring a yoga mat.
