When faced with the apocalypse, who will stand by your side? In the far future of the 41st Millennium, rivalries and alliances ebb and flow amongst the chaos. On this day, in a dark corner of the galaxy, desperate alliances are made to ensure survival. Who do YOU stand with?
The Warhammer 40k Doubles event will be a 2v2 Team tournament. Each team will be composed of 2 players and each player will bring a separate 1,000 point army. There are no requirements that the factions of each team match, you can join any combination you wish.
Each 1,000 point army counts as its own force. No army traits, strategems, unit abilities, or any other effects belonging to one player may affect their teammates force. Each player will have their own pool of Command Points as if they are playing a 1,000 point game.
The event will have special, unique scenarios to better incorporate the 2v2 format. Both primary and secondary objectives will be tied to the specific missions instead of using the Chapter Approved mission decks. Each team will take their turns together and will share an overall score for both Primary and Secondary points. Feel free to discuss strategy and actions with your teammate as you like.

— EVENT STRUCTURE
• 3 Round ‘Swiss Pairing’
• 2.5 Hour round timer
*20 minute warning indicates the current round will finish and players will not begin another.
• Games will be played at the 2,000 point marker overall, comprising 2 1,000 point forces. Current matched play rules will be utilized, including all recent FAQs, Balance updates, and latest War Zone/General’s Handbook releases.
*All codexes, expansion books, and additional rules released within 2 weeks of the tournament are NOT legal for this event. This includes any FAQs and balance updates if they are published within 2 weeks of the event.
— PLAYER REQUIREMENTS & EXPECTATIONS
*You do NOT need painted miniatures. In-game Points for painted miniatures will not be used.
-Players must bring:
• All rules (digital or physical) for your army.
• Tools and Accessories to play your army.
• Fully Assembled models that clearly represent your army. Up to 50% of your relative army’s models must be constructed from Games Workshop products.
• Each team will need 2 legal army rosters, 1 per player. Each player will need to be 1,000 points all from the current Matched Play ruleset. Make sure to double check your points for updates prior to the event.
-The TO will provide:
• Tables and Terrain setup for matches.
• Clear and visible round timer.
• Objective markers corresponding to primary missions.
• The Primary missions and related deployment zones/special mission rules will be predetermined and announced at the beginning of each round.
— PRIZING
• Store Credit is awarded by final standing as follows:
1st Place - 50%
2nd Place - 30%
3rd and 4th Place - 10% each
*Percentages based on the total entry “pot”
• $5.00 Store Credit awarded for playing a “Battle Ready” (fully painted) army
