We had a great first meeting and officially voted Because of Winn-Dixie as our first book selection!
For this next gathering, our goal is simple and low-pressure:
- Have a copy of the book
- Read Chapters 1–2 before we meet
At this meeting, we’ll:
- Chat about the beginning of the story
- Share thoughts and favorite moments so far
- Reassess pacing together to make sure it feels enjoyable for everyone
- An activity related to the story/reading

As always, this is a relaxed, discussion-based book club focused on comprehension, confidence, and connection, not perfection. Snacks, cozy vibes, and thoughtful conversation encouraged.
