Lunch and Learn: The What and Why of Worship

This year, Second is entering a season of discernment and hope, listening for God’s call together. Our first church-wide Lunch & Learn explores the What & Why of Worship: why we gather, confess or lament, hear the Word, and come to the Table and how these practices form everyday life. We’ll share a simple luncheon (pinwheels, chips, drinks), hear a brief overview, and talk around tables to surface insights and hopes for our worship life. At Second, we have a beautiful gathering of people every Sunday. From prelude to postlude we believe God continues to shape us. We can’t wait to hear how you experience God on Sundays at Second. No background or prep required; newcomers welcome. Your feedback will help shape follow-up conversations for the consistory. This will be educational with wonderful fellowship. Our first lunch and learn will by on Sunday, September 14 at 11:30 - 12:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Room.
