✨ Dance for Democracy – Kalamazoo ✨
Come celebrate democracy through movement, music, and joy! Join us for this FREE outdoor dance event on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 12–2pm in Kalamazoo. We'll dance in the parking lot at 394 S. Drake Road, alongside the Kalamazoo No Kings Protest.
Local dance fitness instructors—Jessica, Tiffany, Heather, Kelly, and Stephanie—will lead easy, energizing routines to songs you know and love, all your favorites from Zumba, WERQ, POMSQUAD, and Old School Dance Cardio. No dance experience is needed—just come ready to move, smile, and lift your spirits.
💡 How to join in:
- Wear a t-shirt that speaks to a cause you care about.
- Bring protest signs to place in the grass around the dance space.
- Stay for a few songs or dance the whole two hours—it’s completely up to you.
- Please park in nearby lots and be mindful of local businesses.
Why dance? Because dance brings joy—and joy is a form of resistance, too. Let’s gather, move, and show that democracy can be celebrated with rhythm, energy, and community.
