Welcome to our regular weekly Mums and Bubs sessions, offering an extended support network beyond what you may already receive from your existing post-natal and early childhood groups.
Join us at this regular weekly session to enjoy a cuppa and a chat, connect with other mums and explore all that this group offers. Each week there will be the opportunity to find relaxation in a light meditation, yoga or breathwork practices.
The time frame is fluid, we appreciate there are days when it takes longer to get out the door, and other days when you need to leave early – all is welcome.
The purpose of this group is to provide connection, education and awareness of support systems available for us & others around us. The focus is on nurturing not just our mental health and wellbeing, but also our physical health and wellness, and developing our emotional resilience.
In addition to our face-to-face gatherings each week, we provide access to resources, holistic information & deeper learning
We invite women to share their story, experience and interest with us so that we all can learn and become more confident. Some weeks we will cover a specific topic or intention, other times we will have a guest speaker. At other circles we get creative and learn new crafts or skills.
Just some of the topics we will cover are “What is selfcare?”; Finding our Identity; Pelvic Floor Fitness; The Power of Positive Touch; Coping with Loss; The Grief Cycle; Menstrual Cycle Awareness; Valuing the Spoken Word, Recognising Vulnerability, Regulating our Sleep Patterns.
Our Mums and Bubs group is aligned with the values of Red Tent North Canterbury. Each gathering offers space to slow down and reconnect—with yourself, your community, and the wisdom we share as women. Come to enjoy laughter, love, support, and deep conversation among like-minded friends. You may feel called to share openly or prefer to simply soak in the sanctuary of the space, you are welcomed exactly as you are.
Whether you’re looking for connection, to share knowledge or find sanctuary, this is your invitation. Red Tent is a living, evolving community of women supporting women. It’s about connection, healing and the simple but powerful act of showing up – together and for each other.

Who is the host and why does she do this?
I am Lisa Scott, founder of Red Tent North Canterbury and certified workshop facilitator. I am the proud mum of two young adults and honoured to be the aunty of a handful of amazing teenagers.
When I am not facilitating events, I am a holistic wellbeing coach, therapist, and mentor, supporting those who are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected. Working alongside you, I help uncover what you truly need to live each day better and guide you back to a life where you can consistently return to your own place of peace.
Whether you’re navigating life’s daily challenges, healing from difficult relationships, or longing for a deeper connection with yourself, my strengths are supporting you in rediscovering your calm and living the life you truly desire.
As a proud resident of North Canterbury, I care deeply about the wellbeing of our community and believe every woman deserves access to spaces where she can feel heard, accepted, and empowered. By bringing women together across all walks of life, we strengthen not only ourselves, but the relationships, families, and communities we’re part of.
About Red Tent:
The Red Tent movement is worldwide and stemmed from the book The Red Tent written by Anita Diamant. Red Tents are spaces created by women, for women to come and share their stories, relax, feel nurtured, seen, and heard. There is nothing required of you and the main goal is for you to relax, recharge and reset.
Red Tent Aotearoa was founded by Jill Natalia, who was inspired to create inclusive, supportive spaces where women across Aotearoa could gather, connect, and grow. Rooted in the global Red Tent movement and adapted to honour the land, cultures, and communities of Aotearoa New Zealand, Red Tent Aotearoa offers a space for women to feel heard, supported, and empowered.
Since its beginning, Red Tent Aotearoa has grown into a nationwide network of facilitators and circles—each unique, but all held with care, respect, and a commitment to women’s wellbeing. Circles are open to anyone who identifies as a woman, welcoming all ages, backgrounds, and life experiences.
Every gathering is grounded in the values of connection, community, and deep listening. It’s about reclaiming time for yourself, sharing your truth in a safe space, and remembering that you’re not alone on your journey.
The Red Tent is a place for women to feel that connection and to offer and receive that support. We want to help women to free themselves from the isolation of today’s modern world and find their tribe. It’s our hope for everyone who enters each Red Tent to experience a sense of belonging, sisterhood, and strength that stays with them from then on.
