Join Noy to learn how to make bourekas - a beloved staple in Israeli cuisine, brought by Jewish communities from the Balkans and the Middle East.
These flaky pastries, often filled with cheese or potatoes, are found in nearly every bakery and market stall across the country. What makes them special is not just their crispy, golden layers, but the way they reflect Israel’s rich cultural mosaic. Served with fresh Israeli salad and tangy pickles, bourekas are a nostalgic comfort food that captures the flavours of home and the warmth of shared traditions.
📍 This class will be held in the Kaiapoi High School Hospitality Kitchen.

🧑🍳 The 2025 Multicultural Cooking Class Series is hosted by GLOW (Global Locals of Waimakariri) and Waimakariri District Council and runs from 30 July to 10 September at Kaiapoi High School.
