Antipodes is a genre-blurring jazz quintet from Sydney and Te Whanganui-a-Tara/Wellington, weaving together the cerebral and the earthy, the composed and the improvised. Their music is anchored by a deep commitment to the song—each piece a shimmering creation brought to life by the ensemble’s dynamic interplay.


Formed in Berlin and shaped by over a decade of touring, Antipodes draws on North American, Northern European, and South Pacific influences to create a sound that is immersive, evocative, and uniquely their own.
