Join us for the unveiling of Hui Mo‘olelo: Kahului — a vivid new exhibition at Queen Kaʻahumanu Center that brings Kahului voices to life through portrait and story. Maui artist Christina Wine transforms nine intergenerational talk-stories into hand-painted portraits, each paired with a QR code linking to the original recorded memories of kūpuna, cultural practitioners, and long-time community members.
Be there to meet the storytellers and artist, hear their words, and help celebrate the deep sense of place, memory, and community that defines Kahului. Event emceed by Sissy Lake-Farm — a living bridge between generations and culture.
