Viiden päivän Sharing Through Moving - tanssikurssi, opettajina Iselin Brogeland (NO) ja Rebecca Laube-Pohto (FI). Kurssin opetuskieli englanti, suomi ja tarvittaessa norja.
Työpajassa keskitytään hetkessä syntyvään koreografiaan, improvisaatioon ja ryhmäharjoitteluun. Tutkimme yhdessä spontaaniutta, ryhmädynamiikkaa ja kompositiota, joka syntyy nykyhetkessä. Kurssilla luomme tilan, jossa kehollista tietoa voidaan jakaa ja laajentaa kollektiivisesti—työpaja on avoin niin harrastajille kuin ammattilaisille, kuin myös muille liikkujille. Kurssi tarjoaa alustan kulttuurivaihdolle ja tiedon jakamiselle tanssin kautta.

Opettajat:
Iselin Brogeland on tanssitaiteilija, joka asuu tällä hetkellä Stavangerissa, Norjassa. Lisäksi hän toimii tanssin yliopisto-opettajana Stavangerin yliopistossa ja tekee omaa taidettaan, jatkaen esiintymistä ja opettamista ympäri Eurooppaa. Hänellä on tanssin kandidaatin tutkinto Chesterin yliopistosta (UK) sekä maisterin tutkinto esitystaiteesta Chichesterin yliopistosta (UK), jossa hänelle myönnettiin Valerie Briginshaw -palkinto "Tanssikirjoittamisesta ja akateemisesta erinomaisuudesta". Huhtikuussa 2023 Iselinistä tuli tanssin tohtorikoulutettava Stavangerin yliopistoon (NO).
Iselin on tanssinut Flexer & Sandilandille ja on aiemmin kiertänyt kotimaassa ja kansainvälisesti teoksilla, joita ovat luoneet mm. Hagit Yakira Dance, Molitrix Scenekunst, Dybwikdans, Sticky Trace Company, Company Carpi, Jonathan Burrows, Rick Nodine, Ofra Idel ja Lila Dance. Iselin on myös yksi kahden brittiläisen yhteisön, Ori Dance ja Fluxus Collective, perustajista. Hänen omia koreografisia teoksiaan on esitetty Mosambikissa, Costa Ricassa, Englannissa, Espanjassa, Belgiassa, Norjassa ja Yhdysvalloissa. Iselin on avustanut David Zambranoa useilla festivaaleilla ja työpajoissa ympäri maailmaa, kuten Vienna International Dance -festivaalilla, CODA:ssa Norjassa, Henny Jurrïensin kesäintensiivissä ja DAR-festivaalilla Venäjällä.
Rebecca Laube-Pohto on suomalainen tanssitaiteilija, koreografi ja opettaja, jolla on monipuolinen ja rikas tausta, joka ulottuu useisiin kulttuureihin ja tanssimuotoihin. Hän on opiskellut ja syventynyt tanssin maailmaan eri puolilla maailmaa, tutkien kaikkea nykytanssista hip hopiin, klassiseen balettiin, improvisaatioon sekä eri kulttuureista lähtöisin oleviin tanssimuotoihin. Hänen työskentelynsä on syvästi vaikuttunut kokemuksista, joita hän on saanut matkustaessaan ja ollessaan yhteydessä ihmisiin eri kulttuureista, ja nämä kokemukset ovat muovanneet hänen lähestymistapaansa liikkeeseen ja esityksiin.
Kahden vuosikymmenen ajan Laube-Pohto on jakanut tanssitietämystään opettaen laajasti erilaisia työpajoja niin harrastajista tanssin ammattilaisiin. Hän työskentelee kansainvälisissä projekteissa, työskennellen taiteilijoiden kanssa Suomessa ja muualla maailmassa. Hänen viimeaikaiset työt ja kiinnostuksen kohteet keskittyvät kehon muistiin, valtameriin ja koko kehon ilmaisuun – luoden yhteyksiä liikkeen, tilan ja kulttuurisen jakamisen parissa hetkessä syntyvällä koreografialla. Laube-Pohton koreografiat ja esitykset ovat vievät hänet moniin maihin, kuten Belgiaan, Portugaliin, Japaniin, Intiaan, Norjaan, Ruotsiin ja pian Kolumbiaan.

Iselin Brogeland (NO) and Rebecca Laube-Pohto (FI) invite you to a five-day workshop in instant composition and group practice. Together, we will explore spontaneity, group dynamics, and compositional awareness in the present moment. Our aim is to bring emerging and established dance artists, as well as other movement practitioners, together—cultivating a space where embodied knowledge can be shared and expanded collectively. Open to both students and professionals, the workshop creates a platform for cultural exchange and knowledge-sharing through dance.

Teachers:
Iselin Brogeland is a dance artist currently living in Stavanger, Norway. As well as working as a university lecturer in dance at the University of Stavanger, Iselin also makes her own work and continues to perform and teach throughout Europe. She holds a BA in Dance from the University of Chester (UK) and a Master’s in Performance from the University of Chichester (UK), where she was awarded the Valerie Briginshaw Award for "Dance Writing and Academic Excellence". In April 2023 Iselin became a Ph.D fellow in dance at the University of Stavanger (NO).
Iselin has been dancing for Flexer & Sandiland and has previously toured nationally and internationally with works by Hagit Yakira Dance, Molitrix Scenekunst, Dybwikdans, Sticky Trace Company, Company Carpi, Jonathan Burrows, Rick Nodine, Ofra Idel and Lila Dance. Iselin is also a co-founder of two companies in the United Kingdom; Ori Dance and Fluxus Collective. Her own choreographic works have been shown in Mozambique, Costa Rica, England, Spain, Belgium, Norway, and the United States. Iselin has assisted David Zambrano at various festivals and workshops around the world such as Vienna International Dance Festival, CODA Norway, Henny Jurrïens summer intensive and DAR Festival Russia.
Rebecca Laube-Pohto is a Finnish dance artist, choreographer, and educator with a rich and diverse background that spans multiple cultures and dance forms. She has studied and immersed herself in dance around the world, exploring everything from contemporary dance to hip hop, classical ballet, improvisation and various dance forms across other cultures. Her practice is deeply influenced by her experiences traveling and connecting with people from different cultural backgrounds, which has shaped her approach to movement and performance.
For 20 years, Laube-Pohto has shared her dance knowledge, teaching everything from amateur to professional workshops, and working with artists both in Finland and internationally. As the co-founder and artistic director of the Keskellä Collective, she fosters collaboration and innovation, creating a space for diverse artistic voices. Her recent work and intrests focuses on themes of body memory, the oceans, and full-body expressions—drawing connections between movement, space, and cultural exchange.
Laube-Pohto’s choreography and performances have taken her to numerous countries, including Belgium, Portugal, Japan, and India. She continues to be inspired by the ever-evolving nature of movement and the potential for connection that dance offers across cultures.
