“Lena Rich’s sound is entirely self-assured as well as unique to her. Through layers of moving instrumentals, an unabashed honesty with herself, and an eye for experimentation, Lena’s vocals and pen lead with simultaneous softness and strength” -Atwood Magazine.
Inviting and ethereal, Lena Rich offers an entirely unique sound inspired by folk traditions. With songs that celebrate the beauty of the natural world, the depth of human connection, and the magic of moments that stick, Lena’s indie folk/americana music is both familiar and refreshingly unique.
Within her songs, Lena blends a hillside of wildflowers in the Rocky Mountains with the shoreline of New England. Weaving the depth of human connection and the magic of moments that stick, Lena paints a picture that stays with you like your favorite photograph. Her sound is unmistakably her own. Lena has shared stages with artists like Anaïs Mitchell (Bonny Light Horseman) and Antje Duvekot, and performed at festivals including Red Ants Pants and Ossipee Valley. A distinctive voice in the Americana landscape, she’s carving out her own path with authenticity.
A graduate of Oberlin College & Conservatory, Lena designed her own major, pulling from elements of music composition, poetry, and performance. As a recipient of the National Parks artist in residency grant in Capitol Reef, Utah, she spent a month living alone in the desert writing and recording. Her upcoming album, ‘King Tide’, comes out in October of 2025.
