About the event
Whisky & Whispers: A Reflection on Prohibition
Join us for Whisky & Whispers: A Reflection on Prohibition, an evening of Whisky Tasting with Food Pairings, enjoyment, and education. The event is on Saturday, September 27 at 6:30 p.m. at The Main Event, 611 South Main Street in downtown Joplin on Historic Missouri Route 66.
Learn to discern the unique subtleties from our whisky sommelier on our top shelf choices; a Japanese whisky, two Kentucky whiskies, the Quiet Man 8 Year from Ireland, and the elusive unicorn Blanton's as our signature drink. Whisky, food pairings, tasting note cards, signature whisky tasting glasses, and history interpreters will be provided. Guests can also purchase raffle tickets before and during the event for a chance to take home premium bottles of specialty whiskies.
$125 for whisky tasting ticket; $50 for non-whisky companion ticket. Guests must be 21 years old to attend. Seating is limited.
