Every Solstice and Equinox, I walk for 24 hours straight. I start at midnight. The moment the new season arrives, my feet hit the ground.
There’s only one rule: I have to stay inside the Joplin city limits.
That boundary keeps me honest. It forces me to explore every corner of the place I call home and stay connected to the community I’m walking for.
These walks are my reset. They mark the shift in the seasons and the shift in me. Life moves in cycles. Some seasons stretch me. Some test me. Movement helps me stay aligned through all of it.
This isn’t about toughness or showing off. It’s about presence, discipline, and staying in motion through whatever the day brings.
You’re welcome to join me for any distance. One mile. One hour. Sunrise. Sunset. The full 24. Show up in whatever season of life you’re in. The walk will meet you there.
Start: 12:00 AM, December 21
Finish: 12:00 AM, December 22
Where: I start at JBs Clubhouse 1208 S. Main St. Joplin, MO
No registration. No cost. This is a community tradition rooted in movement and intention.
Longest night. Longest walk... I’ll see you out there.
