Vehicle & Setup Rules
• Trunk-or-Treat will be held in the EAST parking lot of the stadium, located off of 129th Infantry Dr. Directly behind the Joliet National Guard Armory.
• Vehicles must arrive early (usually 30-60 minutes before the start time) to set up and must remain parked until the event ends.
• Once parked, no vehicles may move until the official closing time for safety reasons.
• Participants are responsible for decorating their vehicle trunks in a family-friendly, non-offensive theme.
• No open flames, fireworks, or hazardous decorations are allowed.
• Extension cords must be taped down or secured if using electrical decorations.
Candy & Giveaway Rules
• All candy and treats must be individually wrapped and sealed (no homemade goods).
• Participants are responsible for providing their own candy and/ or giveaways.
• Non-candy options (stickers, pencils, small toys, etc.) are encouraged for children with allergies.
• If you run out of candy, notify event staff instead of leaving your spot early.
Behavior & Conduct
• Participants must remain at their vehicles during the event to hand out candy.
• No alcohol, smoking, or vaping is allowed in the event area.
• Costumes must be appropriate for a family audience (avoid excessive gore, offensive messages, or revealing outfits).
• Music or sound effects should be kept at a reasonable volume to not interfere with neighbors.
• Respect other participants’ space - decorations and displays should not block adjacent trunks.
Safety Requirements
• Vehicles must be turned off during the event.
• Please respect the venue: No revving or excessive noise.
• A clear path must be maintained for emergency vehicles.
• Organizers may require at least one adult per trunk to supervise at all times.
• Children should remain with parents/guardians and not be left unattended.
