Join Iowa PBS on Saturday, September 7 from 1–4 p.m. at the Iowa PBS studios in Johnston for their very first Be My Neighbor Day, inspired by Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood!
This free, family-friendly event is full of fun ways to explore what it means to be a caring neighbor through:
Meet-and-greets with Daniel Tiger
Story times with Iowa PBS KIDS host, Abby Brown
Live performances from CultureALL’s Calle Sur and KUD Dukat
Community helper booths (Des Moines Public Library, ChildServe. Johnston Police, & more!)
Service projects like painting kindness rocks and writing letters to our neighbors
Free snow cones, trolley rides, Daniel Tiger episodes and more!
--> Bring a food donation for the Food Bank of Iowa and help make a difference in our neighborhood.
Let’s celebrate kindness, connection, and community—just like in Daniel’s Neighborhood. We hope to see you there!
