YEOVILLE REUNION – 28 FEBRUARY 2026
Afrikan Freedom Station | Sophiatown.
If you lived, loved, struggled, created, danced, debated, or simply became yourself in Yeoville during the 80s and the years leading into democracy, this reunion is for you.
Yeoville was more than a place, it was a movement. A melting pot of music, politics, poetry, resistance, friendship, and freedom. It was where borders blurred, ideas collided, and lifelong memories were made.
Many of us passed through its streets carrying dreams, activism, laughter, and late night conversations that shaped who we are today.
On 28 February 2026, we gather in Sophiatown at Afrikan Freedom Station to reconnect, reminisce, and celebrate those unforgettable years. This is a joyful, relaxed reunion, a space to meet old friends, honour those moments, and relive the spirit of the good old days.
The day welcomes an open mic session for anyone who wants to share a story, perform a poem, sing a song, or simply speak from the heart about Yeoville, its people, its madness, its magic. No pressure, no perfection, just truth, memory, and shared laughter.
Come as you are. Bring your stories, your voice, your rhythm, and your nostalgia. Let’s remember Yeoville together, not as it was written about, but as we lived it.
Yeoville lives in us. Let’s meet again…
