A day in the nature inspired by M.K. Čiurlionis.
We invite you to spend a day in the middle of Aukštadvaris forest, to have a slow walk, to enjoy each other’s company, to listen to the autumn sounds of the forest and to give a tribute to our Lithuanian cultural treasure - Čiurlionis and his music.
We will be joined by the Čiurlionis expert and musicologist Prof. Dr. Charis Efthimiou - who studied his works thoroughly and agreed to share his knowledge during our hike.
We’ll be also listening to Čiurlionis famous composition ‘Miškas’ (‘The Forest’), discussing how nature inspires us for creativity and doing a few somatic exercises to truly submerge into the sounds of nature - even if just for a while.
This little escape into nature will start and finish at Devil‘s Pit Travellers hut (Keliautojų namelis Velnio duobė), taking place between 13:30-18:00. The hike will be approximately 5 km long in easy terrain.
Please bring your own food (a campfire and cooking appliances will be available at the hut in the end of the event), drinking water, anti-tick spray. Dress accordingly to the weather conditions. In case of an extreme rain the event will be cancelled.
If you are interested to participate in the event, please register by filling in this google form:
