The Lonza Contest

Join us at The Lonza Contest hosted by the Jessup Lonza Club at Station Park in the heart of Jessup. We are proud to provide this event in association with the Jessup 21st Century Association for Jessup’s September Block Party. Do you think you have the best Lonza in Jessup? Think you make it better than us folks in Jessup? Come on out and make your nonno proud. Contestants will be required to provide 1 non-sliced lonza the day prior to the event taking place. Each lonza will be sliced (very thin) by the Jessup Lonza Club the morning of the event to ensure neutrality. Samples of each contestant’s lonza will be spread out anonymously for event participants and general admits to judge and vote on. Call or text Anthony Stambone at 570-309-4193 to enter. There will be live music from Joseph Barrese, wine vendors from Capra Collina and B&G Wineries and food vendors all based here in Jessup! Oh, and plenty of lonza, lonza sandwiches and lonza merch. Contestants will receive 2 free admission tickets. Non-contestants can purchase tickets upon entry. All proceeds will be donated to the Jessup 21st Century Association. So, don’t miss this great event celebrating Jessup heritage!
