World Migratory Bird Day is officially celebrated in May when the migrating birds journey to their nesting sites and also in October as they return to their over-wintering areas.
To recognise the long journey these birds are undertaking we will take a stroll around the South West corner of Jersey . Both Portelet and Noirmont Point are areas of significant importance to migratory birds.
The coastal aspect provides a much needed feeding station and launch pad for their onward journey to warmer climes.
