Natural Environment's Land Resource Management Team are looking for volunteers to help with the hands-on woodland management.
As part of onging woodland management, thinning of trees involves the removal of poor, weak, diseased or overcrowded trees to make the remaining trees stronger and sturdier.
Volunteers will help construct dead hedges (hibernacula for wildlife) and conduct tree management.
Please wear appropriate clothing suitable for outdoor activities. If you have gardening gloves, bring them along; otherwise colleagues from the Natural Environment will provide additional gloves and other necessary equipment.
The nearest toilets and facilities ae found at St Catherine's Breakwater.
Tickets for Tree Thinning - Duke's Wood can be booked here.
