Grassi Gives Back: Breakthrough T1D (Formerly JDRF) Long Island

Breakthrough T1D (Formerly JDRF) is the world’s largest nonprofit funder of type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. Our focus is on finding a cure; until we do, the advancements we’re making every day improve the lives of those living with the disease until that day comes.

Advocates help build and sustain critical support for type 1 diabetes (T1D) research funded by the Federal Government by raising awareness among Members of Congress of the financial, medical and emotional costs of the disease.

On Friday, July 25th, Grassi volunteers will participate in supporting families and initiatives by creating:

• Walk goody bags for hospitals
• T1D Friendly Cooking Recipes with Carb Counts and Insulin Bolus Amounts
• Ride posters
• Thank you notes/letters

Volunteer Maximum: 15 participants
