🌊🎭 Deep Dive in Learning: Where Inclusion Meets Innovation 🎨📚
The Environmental Studies Council is proud to present a Deep Dive in Learning focused on inclusion and arts-integrated education across the curriculum.
Get ready for an unforgettable experience with Janeen Mason, a true dynamo who brings Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM) to life through her book Ocean Commotion: Caught in the Currents. Using reader’s theater and a giant world map, students step into history to recreate the true story of 28,000 rubber ducks that went overboard during a powerful storm on June 10, 1992.
Together, they explore big questions:
🦆 Where did the ducks go?
🌍 How did they get there?
⏱️ How long did it take?
🔍 Who discovered them?
💙 And why do these bathtub toys matter to us today?
📅 February 25
⏰ 5:00 PM
Janeen will be working alongside the Eco Team at JBE to deliver an amazing, engaging presentation that blends storytelling, movement, science, and imagination—showing how the arts can open doors for all learners.
✨ Don’t miss this inspiring journey across oceans, disciplines, and minds!
