Enjoy the 2 million plus Christmas lights on Jekyll Island!
Itinerary for the night:
5:15 Meet at Oakleaf Home Depot for those who wish to caravan
5:30 Leave Home Depot to head to Georgia Welcome Center on I95 St. Mary's Road
6:15 Meet at Georgia Welcome Center on I-95, St. Mary's Road
6:30 Leave Georgia Welcome Center to head to Jekyll Island
What you need to know:
Bring radios if you have them!
Please fuel up before the ride. There are gas stations at the Welcome Center Exit, and also on the Causeway to Jekyll if you need to fill up before we head out.
I am not planning a dinner stop as this will be kind of a late night. Please bring whatever you need to snack on. We usually stop on the way out for restrooms and snacks if need be.
There is a fee to get onto the Island, I believe it is $10 for the 'special event'.
Once on the island, there is a loop to follow. We can stop for group photos as well.
This event is open to all, so bring the family and friends along!
If you've never been, it's gorgeous, even better than St. Augustine (in my opinion)
