Join Vermont Land Trust for a fun-filled morning exploring our Brewster Uplands property in Cambridge! With recent improvements making the trails more accessible and welcoming, it’s the perfect opportunity to get outside, learn about the land, and connect with neighbors, friends, and family.
The event will run from 8:30 to noon and attendees are welcome to join for the whole day, or just part. There should be something for everyone to enjoy:
- 8:30am – Ecology Exploration – Start the morning by exploring the flora and fauna along the accessible Pond Loop Trail as well as how this property fits into the larger landscape during this guided experience. This event will end by 9:30am in time for anyone participating in either the 5k Trail Run or the Fun Run, Walk & Roll to get ready.
- 10:00am – 5K Trail Run – A timed, but laid-back run which will begin with a mass start and follow many of the trails and roads of the Brewster property: a great way to get to know the larger trail network! The course can be found HERE.
- 10:10am – Fun Run, Walk & Roll – With a staggered start just after the 5K, participants are invited to complete the 1 mile circuit of our recently upgraded accessible Pond Loop Trail. There will be an official “start”, but we welcome anyone to complete the loop however and at whatever speed they’d like: there may even be surprises along the way! Family-friendly and appropriate for all ages and abilities.
All attendees will be entered into a raffle and light refreshments will be available. We hope to see you there!
