Hey NOLA Huskers! Our very own Nebraska women's bowling team is coming to Harahan for Tulane's Colonial Lanes Classic Friday, November 21st through Sunday, November 23rd. Join us in cheering on our girls for their fourth invitation this season!
The team will compete most of the day both Friday and Saturday and in the morning on Sunday. Each day will be a different style of game. You can join other NOLA Huskers in the crowd on Saturday afternoon before we transition over to Carrollton State for football :)
So far we've seen them place:
Motiv Penquin Classic: First of 18 teams
Destination Orlando: Fifth of 24 teams
Bulldog Classic: Seventh of 16 teams
The team began the year ranked no. 2 in the NTCA preseason coaches poll. This is also the first year they belong to Conference USA and hope to compete for both a conference and national title.
Earlier this season, Diandra Asbaty '02 became the fourth bowler to get inducted into the Nebraska Athletics Hall of Fame!
We also celebrate three Huskers currently competing for Team USA.
