Join us this winter for a cozy and inspiring community book discussion of Active Hope: How to Face the Mess We’re in Without Going Crazy by Joanna Macy and Chris Johnstone.
In a time of ecological and social uncertainty, Active Hope offers a guide for finding strength and resilience amid global challenges. Rather than a passive feeling, active hope is a practice—a way of consciously choosing how we respond to the crises of our world. Through storytelling, reflection, and practical exercises, the authors invite readers to reconnect with their sense of purpose, community, and the power of collective action.
Together, we’ll move through the book’s teachings slowly and intentionally, creating space for shared reflection, meaningful conversation, and gentle integration. No prior reading before the first meeting is required—just bring your curiosity and an open heart.
Gathering in Chestnut House with a roaring fire and tea at Fox Haven Farm, or online in case of inclement weather.
