Game Knight will host a Warhammer 40,000 tournament on April 25th in cooperation with the International Tournament Circuit and Evansville Tabletop! Information about the ITC may be found here:
https://www.frontlinegaming.org/community/frontline-gamings-independent-tournament-circuit/
FORMAT
-$25.00 entry fee per player. $15.00 of the proceeds from the entry fee will be used to fund prize support in store credit and prizes, and the remainder will be used to provide pizza for the players and our new tables and chairs fund.
-The tournament will be played in three rounds of three hours each using Swiss pairings.
-Each player will use a 2,000 point list, Players must submit lists to Game Knight via upload to Best Coast Pairings, Facebook message, or e-mail by the Thursday prior to the tournament to permit vetting. All lists will be uploaded to Best Coast Pairings and unlocked for viewing at the start of the tournament.
-No rules released after April 18th (Codexes, datasheets in new model releases, etc.) will be permitted in the tournament, to ensure all players and the organizers have time to familiarize themselves with the rules.
-The tournament will adhere to the latest FAQs for the game; these may be found here:
https://www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/downloads/warhammer-40000/
-Updated points costs and matched play mission rules in the Munitorum Manual and Chapter Approved 2025-26 tournament pack are in force.
-Matched play rules are in force. Armies must have at least one Character and otherwise no more than three of any datasheet or six of any battleline or dedicated transport.
-Missions will be those played on the first day of the Rocky Top Rumble super-major in Knoxville, TN, occurring Memorial Day weekend, so players going to the convention can practice.
-Painting and basing your models is highly encouraged, but we do not remove eligibility for prize support for not doing so. However, What You See Is What You Get to a reasonable standard is required, and fully painted armies are worth 10 victory points in the mission per Chapter Approved. We will have a Best Painted award if we get at least twelve paid entries to the tournament, awarded by an independent painting jury.
-We adhere to the ITC Code of Conduct. Repeated incidents of poor sportsmanship, defined as being verbally abusive, physically aggressive, more than 15 minutes late for a round, or knowingly cheating on a rule, will result in sanctions up to and including ejection from the tournament.
Schedule: Doors open at 9:00 Eastern Daylight Time for registration and check-in. Dice drop no later than 10:00, or earlier if we're organized and the tables are full before then. The shop nominally closes at 6:00, so we will allow a 30 minute break between the first and second rounds and 15 minutes between second and third. If we run over time, we can accommodate.
