Telescope Viewing

Join local astronomy enthusiast Jough Donakowski for a telescope viewing of the Moon and other visible planets!
The moon will be a 21% crescent. It’s the perfect phase to see the dark side of the moon glowing faintly (Earthshine - one of our favorite beers).

While we’re looking at the moon in the southwest, the constellation Orion will be rising high in the south. Even with a basic telescope, the nebula looks like a glowing ghostly cloud where new stars are being born. It’s one of the few deep-space objects that actually looks "3D" through an eyepiece.
