Little Explorers: What's in a Tree?

Trees may seem like quiet places, but there is a lot of activity in their leaves and branches. Trees and their leaves come in an endless number of shapes and sizes, providing shelter and food for animals. What better time than fall to explore the leaves as they fall to the ground and get a closer look at the bare trees to look for animal homes, holes, and nests?

Join Audubon to learn more about the ways animals and other living things, like fungi, use trees. After a short lesson, head out on the trails to explore the different kinds of trees at Audubon and look for evidence of animals climbing on, living in, and collecting food from those trees.

A snack is provided after the hike and a craft is offered if there is time.

$12 Adults; $9 Nature Center members
$9 Children 3 – 8
